Tip: Keep your Human Hair Wig Tangle-free

Many customers have come to us asking why their hair tangles so easily. The truth is that there isn't just one answer. There are a whole host of factors that contribute to your tangles and knots.

Incorrect Washing

Incorrect washing techniques can cause tons of tangles. If you comb hair when it is wet and wash it like you wash your clothes (lots of rubbing and scraping), your hair is going to tangle. Worse yet, you'll end up losing lots of strands.

Instead, wash the hair gently from root to tip. You don't need to scrub it, as shampoos and conditioners are formulated to ease out dirt and oil with minimal effort. Finally, only comb your hair once it has been rinsed and fully dried.

Sleeping With Wet Hair

Sleeping with wet hair allows tons of tangles to form as the hair dries. This is because human hair stretches when it is fully saturated with water, and contracts back as it dries. As the strands contract, they twist around one another which creates knots. This effect is far more noticeable on curly hair textures.

To prevent hair from tangling, only sleep when your hair is dry. If your hair is long, you can avoid more tangles by putting it in a loose braid before you sleep.

Excessive Hair Processing

Excessive hair processing aids in the formation of tangles. Our normal Indian hair is already bleached and/or colored by us before it reaches you. If you repeat the process, it could become over processed causing the hair to become dry and lifeless. The solution is to simply avoid doing it yourself, and to consult with us before perform any drastic actions on your hair.
